Yes, you can place orders that will be triggered when the underlying market satisfies certain conditions (e.g "sell when price reaches X"). These are called pending orders and once you enter them, they are valid until triggered, or until you go back and cancel them. In this way, you can trade when you're not at your device, regardless of whether the platform is open or the device is turned off.
