[Platforms] How do I modify/delete a pending order in MT4/MT5?

Last updated on Oct 15, 2025

Sometimes you’ll have to modify a pending order, for example in situations where the price has moved in the opposite direction, you may want to raise your pending order’s levels (in the case of a buy order) or lower them (in the case of a sell order). In other situations, you may want to delete your pending order completely.

To do this, find the order you want to modify/delete in the “Terminal” window at the bottom of your platform’s screen. Simply, right-click or double-click on the order in question. In the pop-up menu select “Modify” or “Delete Order.” This will bring up the “Order” window. From there you can alter the price level at which the pending order will be triggered or delete it entirely.
